BBMGF
a band to enjoy – not only for the music!
Back in 1902, a few inhabitants of the small village Füllinsdorf in the canton of Baselland got together to found the first band of the village. More than 100 years later, the band still exists.
What might the secret to our longevity? Likely, it is our diversity! Our repertoire is as diverse as our members and our audience. We enjoy playing traditional brass band music, modern rock & pop just as much as we enjoy marches and waltzes.
We value our cultural engagement in the community and actively contribute to many events occurring throughout the year in Füllinsdorf. At the same time, we always strive to be a place that people truly can enjoy – not only for the music!
Our most important events include our annual concert in November and several contests where we participate. Developing our young players is also a continuous priority to us.
Our rehearsals take place each Wednesday at 8pm, additional rehearsals as needed on Monday or Friday at 8pm.
Our musical director - Thomas Meyer
Thomas Meyer is a well-know figure in the band scene of North-western Switzerland. He has decades of experience as active player, musical director and as a member of the music commission of the overarching band association. This combination provides the necessary expertise to lead our band.

Joining Us
We are looking forward meeting anyone sharing our passion for music – whether as a listener, temporary player, permanent member or non-playing supportive member.
Learning to play an instrument as a kid: note that we are also supporting the musical education of children and adolescents!
